This vibrant mural by Kathrin Finck was created in the early 1990s for the playroom of the Bernitt daycare center. Spanning around 14 square meters, it depicts a lively rural landscape: animals grazing on the meadow, storks by a pond, blooming flowers, and a child curiously watching nature. With soft colors and playful details, the artwork captures warmth, care, and a love of the countryside.
In the early 2000s, the mural was covered during renovation, only to be rediscovered and lovingly restored by the artist a decade later. Although the original daycare building now stands empty, the painting remains a cherished part of local history – a gentle reminder of creativity, childhood, and the beauty of everyday rural life.
